During its feeding stage (the plasmodium), it behaves like a giant, pulsating amoeba, it hunts and moves. Similar to other slime molds, this organism displays intelligent behavior despite having no brain or nervous system. It can find the shortest route through a maze to reach food and can remember where it has already explored.
