For many, this might trigger a mid-life crisis. But not to me. Because the job ads labelled "Archaeologist" are almost all about working on highway projects, whereas I've spent my life as an research scholar.

So I agree. Applying for archaeologist jobs really is a waste of my time as an archaeologist.
