1. Big family celebration this weekend in NC for Dr. Gabby, my eldest granddaughter, who has her ‘white coat ceremony’ as she completes academics & begins clinical training for her veterinary degree. Grandma Cyn in NorCal will watch the event on TV but doesn’t get to enjoy the feasting afterward. ️

3. Reposting here a link I shared earlier on Fedi of a squadron of brown pelicans — I found it breathtaking. (These are the clowns who meet fishing boats & eat so much stolen bounty that they have to waddle along the dock as they can’t fly for a couple of hours.)
