This is all from today, in a very close proximity actually. That hardly seems real but, it is. If I could convince people to stop the government from destroying the entire area by building the 'Bradford-Bypass' I would. Seems like nobody in Ontario cares about this silt-loam.</p><p>Later in the season it gets micro toads everywhere, at some time soon maybe fireflies... more than anywhere I have ever seen(thick).</p>

There is a 'season of toads' where I live. It's ecologically a very interesting area.</p><p>The soil is a silt-loam, and the land is flat, extending away from Lake Simcoe in Ontario.</p><p>It's seasonally wetland, not quite submerged but, high water table.</p><p>So we get those micro-toads, and then are everywhere. I wonder if we have different types of toads. For me the sound of spring is the peepers. The teeny tiny tree frogs who live in the wetlands around here.
