44a and 32a show most improvement.

There is very little color drift with the first alcohol refill. Colors remain vibrant and similar in application (possibly more ‘wet edge’ after refill? They are markers and are gonna bleed. I should do a bleed distance test with a standard sized circle or box fill pattern next time, or with a fixed camera and swatch positions to measure over time)

Including metal ferrule micron-style barrels.

I’d firmly recommend a mostly perfumer’s alcohol blend for refilling any prismacolor, at least once!

So .. happy 4/20?

The tap plastic squeeze bottle (box labeled hypo 49 from gaunt industries) is perfect for applying to the fine marker end.

I didn’t realize I had some old markers that actually end in a micron style barrel. I refilled those from the chisel tip side.

Can just fill any marker weighing less than 15g, with some confidence.

Flat bottom glass is helpful to measure out alcohol on the scale.

Water conversion ml to grams is 1:1, alcohol demonstrably is not.

New markers measure 17 grams from the store.

A dead dry marker weighs 14g.

15g marker works with a little dryness visible.
