I haven't bought patch bays yet, but I've tried to map out how to leverage the direct outs, etc. in order to be able to route signals into my MOTU 828 and then have the first 8 channels on the desk be the 8 outs from the MOTU so i can mix down to 2 track (that part is also still TBD).
