The Kia app has started showing how much power is fed back to the battery for each of my trips and it's typically around 40%. I'm surprised how high it is. ICE vehicles in contrast waste all of their forward momentum when braking.

I've heard of people with 10-year-old EVs in Hawaii who have had to replace rotors and other parts of the brake assembly while the pads look almost new.

I calculated it because my son is learning about in school. If I didn’t live in one of the flattest regions of England I’d probably be going up and down hills to get better data.

Unless they have regenerative brakes.
