But they do collect: when you use the app, how long you use the app, who you chat with,  device information (hardware model, operating system information, battery level, signal strength, app version, browser information, mobile network, connection information [including phone number, mobile operator or ISP], language and time zone, IP address, device operations information, and identifiers), and your location.</p><p>TL;DR: they are able to track you across the web when you browse on a device with WhatsApp installed</p><p></p><div class="card col-md-9 col-lg-6 position-relative link-preview p-0">
