There are already FPGA variants and the emulation boxes (The A500mini & the A1200). The project iComp is working on is going to be compatible with real hardware expansions though.

Very similar to what they did with the C64 Ultimate.

New A1200/A500 cases and keyboards do already exist from A1200net. Would "just" be a matter of getting the legal stuff sorted out and waiting for the Amiga board to be finalized (last I heard that might still take a while).
