Every time I went to a new city, I would send my grandmother a postcard. When she died, we found a shoebox with all those postcards in it. They are note cards with envelopes. I'm trying to decide if I should send them as note cards, glue the cards closed so the location is still on the back and use them as postcards, or simply cut off the flap on the note card and send the photo side as a postcard. Right now I'm leaning toward the second option, which would make a beefier card. I'm starting almost a full month of travel on Thursday, with multiple little trips on the East Coast and Pacific Northwest. I have a postcard that I was going to send from the VLA (in New Mexico), but now I'm thinking that I should wait until I start a trip and only send from the places I visit as I'm visiting them. I think the biggest challenge is going to be finding postcards to send. So few places sell them these days.
