You know, I lived in Croatia between 2017 and 2023, and saw many amazing parts of Europe, but I never made it there -- even though at one point I had entertained MOVING to Finland.

I would very much like to experience Europe again through this new lens of adventuring and hiking, though.

I can't promise I'll get there, but I can tell you that my intention is high. The people, the country, and its nature all seem outstanding from a distance.

We have a non-build bed system for our '17 Pacifica (stow and go seats) using folding cots - the van floor is so uncomfortable but no tracks.

Someone tall, though, could easily fit in a diagonal position with this "3 quadrant" build which is why I like it. Some decent storage underneath the platforms, too!

The final touch was wrapping it with some carpeting.

What I love about this setup is the drop screws connecting the two platforms. It's a piece of cake to just lift them out and move the top platform to the back, allowing me to use the back seats.

Today I'll be trimming the "mattress" to size - a 1.5 inch piece of gel infused memory foam, and a 3 inch piece of high density foam.

After that: ADVENTURE!
