I mainly use Signal but a lot of friends and family I use it with are certainly using Gboard.</p><p>Signals reliance on cloud services is a blessing and a curse.</p><p>Decentralized is great but I much prefer other options to SimpleX. Matrix is my top decentralized option. But unlike Signal which is, in my opinion, fundamentally flawed, SimpleX delivers on some features where Signal falls behind. I think it has shown to be promising, albeit a bit rough around the corners. </p><p>(I’m not trying to start an argument, merely speaking my mind. I’m personally rooting for SimpleX Chat and Matrix for this, due to the decentralised nature of both.
