We’ve had the plant for a few years but it’s gotten pretty big. Was always intimidated knowing the leaves were poisonous if ingested. </p><p>But went for it. Pulled some off of the main stalk. Tossed the leaves. Cut up and washed the stems. Took a bite. </p><p>Forever changed. Tart like a lemon. Crunch like an apple. Distinct fruity flavor.
