Got new rain gear for this year, don’t want to get in any storms in the Midwest this summer.

I once did an iron butt to Brownsville, TX in the winter once and hit the desert about midnight. It was cooooold. I stopped at every gas station south of Houston just to walk in a thaw out. Now when I get kinda cold my body reminds me that it hates being cold.

I ride year round, my only personal rule is no snow or ice. In the winter it’s not hard in Seattle but I sometimes envy those in warm climates.
