And it seems also that there are services that use PayID email addresses to route funds to selected gambling sites. It's good to have options like these, but they can give a false sense of security to concerned friends and relatives.

Australia has a system where you can be added to a self-exclusion list for gambling services hosted in AU.

Anecdotally, I hear that being on this list results in more spam from overseas online gambling services that are not covered by the exclusion.
