The slop is horrible and they wobble everywhere. I think if I revisited this I would make a PCB and use those very low profile smd buttons with some kind of custom frame and silicone keys or something. This is just a dry run for a bigger build I plan to do using real low profile mechanical keyboard switches.

I still need to come up with a keyboard solution myself for some Android tablet based things I built a while back. Maybe I'll give tactile switches a go again but make a custom PCB. When I tried ages ago 3D printing sucked for the keycaps but now with the improvements in detail printing it might work.

I wanted the letters to be easy to reach above all else. It's weird as shit for sure but works quite nicely in reality. If I was building something with real switches I would definitely go for something a little more sane, but this project was mostly for the lulz 😄
