Musts:
- 50 lbs/23kg
- folding
- at least 500w power
- range at least 40 miles/64km

I need to be able to lift this into my Honda CR-V when I travel. 50lbs/23kg is my safe limit, give or take 5lbs.

I would prefer a popular/well-known brand/make as parts and repairs may be easier.

Thanks for any feedback you can offer based on actual experience.

They make a smaller-wheeled folding e-bike that might fit your needs.

I ride their larger two-wheel, which is too heavy for your needs and doesn't fold up, but my main electric is their trike, which does fold; but it's 65 pounds and would be difficult to lift into a CRV (I know this because I drive a Honda element and I ended up having to buy a specific trailer hitch bike rack just for the trike, which happily fits both the bikes I own from them).

However, people seem to really like their small-wheeled foldable bikes quite a bit. Bonus, the company is located in the US, in Arizona. They have great tutorial videos for home repairs, a ton of different accessories to help carry cargo, etc. and decent customer service.

It also means we can ride together as I take my 'acoustic' bike along with my wife's electric.

I'd also have to have a hitch installed on my Honda. In for a penny, in for a pound.

But it's not cheap.

It.doesnt hit your folding need or weight (it's closer to 70lb) but I've been happy with it. They might have something that hits your list.
