Each section exists in context of the other sections. Such as

It sounds like you can use the trademark for "fair" and "nominative" purposes, and for everything else you can just ask them.

Some servers that predate the policy have requested explicit permission to continue using the trademark.

I understand you want to protect your trademark but the rules regarding what to name our instances and what hostnames/domain names we use is very overreaching.
