Beautiful book, it triggered a lot of thought about our place in nature. She writes so wonderfully and with such dignity about the animals. Highly recommended. Goes well with a quote I read here recently - "We are the invasive species".

The book made me think of H Is For Hawk by Helen Macdonald, in as much as they are both about living closely alongside animals, although the tones differ considerably. I need to read Macdonald's book again, it made a big impression on me.
