There's even a couple nightclubs in Seattle that are starting to stick repeaters up!

If the hardware isn’t immediately suitable can it be modded, or is similar hardware (at a similar price point) available that *will* work in that frequency range?

I ask as I’m pondering use of mesh[core|tastic] for comms while at a music festival with very poor mobile signal. Sticking one of these up at the campsite may boost coverage.
