I absolutely loved it —truly great storytelling. </p><p></p><div class="card col-md-9 col-lg-6 position-relative link-preview p-0">

Lotta stuff to read and I'll be dead way before I would prefer to be. In my final moments I will claw at the unread pile, which of course will  not be real books so I'll be pretending, cause what else you gonna do. </p><p>At the time it came out I was reading BoingBoing, as I recall, and just based on the output of his I had read there, I kinda just decided (and this may be right, may be wrong) that the title contrasted with Orwell's Big Brother, and was a tale of little people owning ubiquitous recording devices, and countering surveillance or fascists or something (was less clear that he was the sort of guy that would end up advising our future NDP PM at the time), a parable of collective power, enabled by small tech. </p><p>Now that's still just my supposition, so I need to get reading it and see what it's actually about. <img src="https://board.circlewithadot.net/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f923.png?v=28325c671da" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--rolling_on_the_floor_laughing" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title="🤣" alt="🤣" /></p>]]></description><link>https://board.circlewithadot.net/post/https://growers.social/users/jpaskaruk/statuses/116428974911964816</link><guid isPermaLink="true">https://board.circlewithadot.net/post/https://growers.social/users/jpaskaruk/statuses/116428974911964816</guid><dc:creator><![CDATA[jpaskaruk@growers.social]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Sun, 19 Apr 2026 02:19:28 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
