<![CDATA[Those of you who watched #StarTrek TOS as youngsters: do you remember the half-mad Commodore Decker?]]>Those of you who watched #StarTrek TOS as youngsters: do you remember the half-mad Commodore Decker? With his horror-weary eyes and two-days' growth of beard?

This is certainly one character that's burned into my memory - utterly familiar, even after decades.

It's been fascinating to re-watch the original series - so much contemplation of the nature of war, peace, social dysfunction, and "utopias".

And, always, of what it is to be human - not machine.
