But most of those difficulties originate in the fact that we went from blobs in a planet soup eating other blobs to being that even at our current scale can't orient ourselves to solve that problem.

Feels like humanity as a project has a prion disease from evolution. But unlike prions we do have a neocortex, and then it seems that if we just change the conditons of our current soup we may just untangle that knot.

But I guess we'll have to carry the knowledge that this knot could be tangled again.
