I was expecting it to be way, way worse.</p>]]></description><link>https://board.circlewithadot.net/post/https://infosec.exchange/users/zak/statuses/116389578722035118</link><guid isPermaLink="true">https://board.circlewithadot.net/post/https://infosec.exchange/users/zak/statuses/116389578722035118</guid><dc:creator><![CDATA[zak@infosec.exchange]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Sun, 12 Apr 2026 03:20:30 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Reply to I won the boss fight. on Sun, 12 Apr 2026 00:07:49 GMT]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p><span><a href="/user/zak%40infosec.exchange">@<span>zak</span></a></span> I had to do a similar transition with my actively running Jellyfin Podman setup when I moved it all to a new machine.</p><p>Basically just backed up the settings to a new os install, lined up the mount paths to point to the existing media and database/configuration, and then just fired it up.</p><p>It was remarkably painless, and I was able to line up the expected ffmpeg libraries and such that way much better than fighting with the package manager by containerizing it.
