Last soil temp I took was 3 days ago & we have not progressed one bit. Still stuck at 46F / 7.7C. The apple trees are being cautious and are waiting at the "green tip" stage before committing. Between showers we've cut back the encroaching sod on the neighbor's side and now have half a ton of sod to deal with. Only so many "bare spots" need filling in. Most of it will be screened to recover the soil. (When it's dry and warm enough) Where is spring?

Digging's not so bad, but the pulling and screening to recover the soil is work. I used to just pile it up, but it will keep growing and gets worse. Better to break it all up while I'm motivated.
