Private party sales have no background check process and are still legal here. Meaning someone could legally do this today.

Also, Washington now requires all sales via an FFL have a background check regardless of when they last completed one, for each single transaction, including 2 transactions in the same 24 hour period.

"A 49 year old man was arrested for domestic abuse and released on bail last Friday, on the condition that his recently purchased firearms would be confiscated. Yesterday, that same man purchased a new firearm and shot his wife, child and himself. Washington State only requires a background check on firearms purchases if a background check hasn't been performed in the last 90 days."

I say that because it’s not the money, it’s the need.

I have already done it 2x in 90 days but had to do it again today. In a shop, they provisionally clear you before printing the state forms, federal and state. The state also has to finalize anything in the waiting period but there should be something to balance repetition.

Each gun purchase (a single transaction of one or many) requires a background check and 10 day waiting period (plus weekends). Example, my purchase today can be picked up May 9th.

Each purchase requires this even though the state has done it twice already in the last 90 days including a comprehensive with fingerprints.

3x for what? That is a burden on the system and clearly deliberate.

Got no issue with the background check just some reason to the madness.
