In zfs-autobackup syntax, it would be "1d1w,1m1y,1y5y" if I'm correct. But the backup server is also automatically snapshotted. So where do I put the retention policy? My gut says something like "1d1w" from the laptop and then "1d1w,1m1y,1y5y" on the backup server should do the trick, but I'm a little bit confused by the double snapshots.

Any words of wisdom are appreciated

#ZFS #ZFSAutobackup #backup #BackupStrategy
