It was years ago and I did this Yucatan tour to go look at Maya archeological sites with a small group over some days. Lots of fun and places like this. #Bacalar really got me. The beautiful and slow scenes of life spent in slow motion and just enjoying the days. I almost decided to just live in Mexico or go travel to Panama and Costa Rica. It was a close thing. It's easy to retire in Panama. Mexico I would have done the 6 month tourist visa one more time and then gone. Maybe would have stayed in Merida. I loved the city and wandering around all I could in two stays over 9 months.
