If companies can be persons, why not rivers, mountains and wetlands?</p><p>It reminds me of Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy where the new Martian society introduces environmental courts to protect the rights of the planet itself, to avoid repeating all the mistakes we've made on Earth.</p><p>It is an excellent trilogy in many respects, exploring what a post capitalist society could look like.
