The user does know upfront that their personal data is sent to this company. So knowing about the deals with the gov and Palantir just makes it obvious to me that the data is being collected and can be accessed. 5 million users should already have known they are providing Big Data.

That was enough to reject them as a whole.

If you store unencrypted health data on your own servers, you're essentially volunteering to process government subpoenas. It's a massive liability.
