In western Canada at least, gov’t funded crop insurance gives farmers money when drought causes failure.

We’re subsidizing (in Canada) not solving a problem.

So many current practices work against doing both ag & solar. Will the issue become so extreme that rural agriculture is just abandoned for power generation?

Solar panels are helping here.

Will big expanses of land with sun become primarily solar power and growing things secondary, or dependent on shade from panels?
