I personally prefer LibreWolf or Ungoogled-Chromium. It's still unfortunately downstream of firefox/chrome, but finding a functional modern browser that isn't is near impossible.

I wouldn't throw away knowledge about treatment for hypothermia just because the most beneficial "research" came from German Nazis.
