I know I'm not alone in it, but whereas taking a nap is enjoyable to a lot of people and makes them feel better, I always feel discombobulated, wretched and achy after taking one, as my naps are broken. I've hated taking them as fas back as I can remember! If I let myself nap as long as I want I come out of it groggy, but I set a timer for 35 minutes (5 to go to sleep and 30 for the nap proper) and that works best for me. Combine extreme night person with having to work nine to five. COVID times have helped, because nowadays I work at home 3 days a week.</p><p>But, I have sleep apnea, so I usually wake up from a nap gasping for breath and with a really dry mouth. I should use the CPAP machine even when taking naps.
