<![CDATA[My personal data center uses 26kWh per day.]]>My personal data center uses 26kWh per day. There are 18 HDDs spinning 24/7 across 3 servers. One of them is the public information server, still going strong and with fresh torrents added. That would cost me $1500 annually if I paid for electricity, except I'm 100% solar powered and all of this is free to run for me.

I think that's more than most people's entire house uses, esp outside the US.

Yep, that's higher than mine which pulls about 14kWh/day. You have more hdds, I have 100TB of storage but only (I think) 8 hdds. Yay for solar!

Also don't need a UPS because the whole solar setup is essentially a huge UPS.

That includes all heating (heat pump), all cooking, and an EV (cost of ~ £1300)

hard to know how to put the solar costs in this as I don't know how long it will last (panels are about 12 years old, inverter and battery about 3 years)
