When you're connected to someone on fedi, including someone dangerous, you're bringing them closer to your other connections, that's just how things flow on here. Especially when someone is connected to a lot of your enemies, like say an entire friend group that's united in their violent hate against you, it's often easier to just block that person than engage in an eternal whack-a-mole to block all the enemies whenever said person indirectly brings them to you, esp considering that blocks aren't an airtight defence when you're constantly being exposed to people you block by way of replies. like the way fiore is able to see im interacting with vern.cc . it's just safer to simply never allow your posts to federate anywhere near your opps in the first place.
