It uses a Zebra FXR90 UHF RFID Scanner and a Raspberry Pi

high tech solutions sounds hard but could be really useful and help people check out boats. good on ye for helping out. now I want to read up on these zebra readers, they look interesting for toy tracking.

The app request came into being because they run a summer camp and training sessions for kids and teens so needed extra safety monitoring but they are expanding it to everyone after a few testing sessions and weather survivability tests.

where my boat is going this summer (Duluth, MN), falling over is a bit of a death sentence due to the water temperatures...funny requested change. I guess this is for a yacht club with borrow-able boats?

I use timeout periods of tag entering field/leaving field so theoretically it could but some safeguards and manual overrides available. the biggest thing i have to deal with is that reading the tag's tid is more slower and error prone than tag's epc but dealing with that using the readers ability to run filters onboard
