With computers my limit is soldering and with new stuff when focused on laptops, unfortunatelly not. I’m on Mac and I hate how much they closed expandibility. Still lifecycle of their computers is longer than any other PC. but in general I try to repair my appliances. I like brands that allow that, come with clean spec or user friendly mechanics. Haier’s washing machine, Dyson’s vacuums they are already proven to me as example. I wish we came back to simpler tool+device combination to fix our own stuff with a bit o knowledge magic from the internet or AI more these days. Actually the second encouraged me very much to try to fix more myself all around.
