No musical borders. That's my contention and I'm sticking with it. For music nerds, the time signature is 7/4. The accordion is a musette tuned Weltmeister Achat. The synths sounds are all in GarageBand (the free Apple app) which just goes to show that possibilities are endless if you have a creative streak and like to play with sonic landscapes.#theMadMaggies #Music#Accordion #Synths #WomenComposers

maggiemartin@mstdn.ca

this was my lucky access to Buchla modules on Monday.

this was my lucky access to Buchla modules on Monday. Complex waveform generator, verbos multi-envelope, and source of uncertainty. quad function generator also particularly fun. Recorded over an hour of fiddling with these toys ehem modules when a student was absent. Happy the conservatoire has these tools but not many students show interest unless prompted. On another note normally I find it so hard to get on with keyboards as a non-piano player. Guitarist. Different background. There is much to appreciate here. I have dedicated an upcoming episode in my podcast on pioneering electronic music composers to Subotnick and Buchla. even ADSR envelopes can be piano based in most synths but look at this… So much space for experimentation.
