We do less SAG work and more deterrence patrol stuff. There are a couple of our riders who are HAMs, but it's an either/or thing: I'll patrol with them on one event, where we don't use radios, and then two months later I'll see them at an exchange on Hood to Coast operating their radio. When we do have radios, they're Motorola handheld ones (integrated into whatever system the event is using), which most of us pair to our in-helmet comm systems.
