It’s the only Garson album released under the name Lucifer. There’s something far more dark & sinister going on here than on other Mort records. This is an aural representation of occult & horror as only Mort could deliver. Abstract effects, white noise, bubbling synths and bells. This album was out of print for MANY years following its original 1971 release. 35 to be exact. Since 2018, it’s been reissued a few times.THANKFULLY. There are some Mort devotees who feel that THIS is his true masterpiece, and not Plantasia. And although I do NOT agree with that sentiment, it is remarkable. It’s intense, unsettling and very disturbing in some places, all ribboned with that distinct Mort Moog style.
