We’ve had the plant for a few years but it’s gotten pretty big. Was always intimidated knowing the leaves were poisonous if ingested. But went for it. Pulled some off of the main stalk. Tossed the leaves. Cut up and washed the stems. Took a bite. Forever changed. Tart like a lemon. Crunch like an apple. Distinct fruity flavor.
