I like to see what the topics are like in instances with public feeds. In this case, as happens in many, I saw that there was an account that had published 43 posts in the last 24 hours, and their posts made up almost 70% of the feed, or maybe even more. I can't understand it; why would someone post so compulsively? (Well, I think I do understand, but I find it hard to accept.) I would consider it outright spam, especially because that person's obsessive focus becomes annoying. I know it can be muted and blocked, but my thought is that even though Mastodon is a much quieter space than other corporate, commercial, or algorithm-driven platforms, there can still be a lot of noise.
